Address: Piazza San Pietro, 00120 Città del Vaticano, Vatican City

How to get to the Saint Peter's Basilica
Take Line A (Red) towards Battistini and exit at Ottaviano-S. Pietro. From there, it is a roughly 10-minute walk down Via Ottaviano to St. Peter’s Square.
From Termini Station, the 40 Express is the fastest option (approx. 25 mins). The 64 is a popular alternative. Get off at the Traspontina/Conciliazione stop, a 5-minute walk from the Basilica.
Take Line 19 to its terminus at Piazza del Risorgimento. From this stop, it is a short 6-7 minute walk to the Vatican walls and entrance.
A taxi from central Rome (e.g., Termini) costs approximately €15–€20. Ask for drop-off at Piazza del Risorgimento or Via della Conciliazione, as taxis cannot enter St. Peter’s Square directly.
For the most scenic arrival, walk from Castel Sant’Angelo along Via della Conciliazione (approx. 10 minutes). This route offers the classic, grand view of the Basilica dome as you approach.
